Premium Silica Brick from China Suppliers - High-Quality Refractory Material for Industrial Furnaces at Factory Prices
Core Advantages
High Silicon Content & Premium Purity
SiO₂ content ranges from 94% to 96%, with extremely low harmful impurities (Fe₂O₃ ≤1.5%). The high purity ensures excellent refractory performance and minimizes pollution to molten materials such as glass liquid.
Exceptional High-Temperature Resistance
Load softening temperature reaches 1640–1680℃, close to the melting point of tridymite and cristobalite. It can maintain structural integrity and no deformation under long-term high-temperature and high-load conditions.
Strong Acid Corrosion Resistance
As an acidic refractory material, it has strong resistance to acid slag and acidic gas erosion, and performs significantly better than clay bricks and ordinary high-alumina bricks in acidic working environments.
Stable High-Temperature Volume
After special firing process, the main mineral composition is tridymite and cristobalite. The residual expansion is small (0–0.2% at 1450℃×2h), which can make the masonry joints tight and ensure good airtightness.
Excellent Thermal Conductivity
Thermal conductivity is higher than that of clay bricks and high-alumina bricks, which is conducive to rapid heat storage and heat release of furnace equipment, improving energy utilization efficiency.

Detailed Application Scenarios
◎ Silica brick is the core refractory material for modern large-scale coke ovens, which is used in key parts such as regenerator walls, slopes, carbonization chamber bottoms, furnace walls, and furnace tops. Coke ovens need to operate continuously at 950–1050℃ for dry distillation of coal. The high temperature resistance, stable volume, and good thermal conductivity of silica brick can increase the temperature of the combustion chamber, shorten the coking time, improve the production capacity of the coke oven, and extend the service life of the coke oven to more than 20 years. It is especially suitable for large coke ovens with carbonization chamber height above 6m.
◎ Silica brick is the most widely used and important brick type in float glass furnaces, mainly used in the melting section, working section roof swan, breast wall, front and rear end walls, regenerator top swan, and regenerator upper partition wall. The glass furnace gas temperature can reach above 1615℃, and the silica brick can withstand gravity, mechanical stress and high temperature load. It has slight erosion after absorbing a small amount of alkali components, which will not reduce the structural strength of the furnace top. At the same time, its low impurity content (Fe₂O₃ ≤0.8%) can avoid polluting the glass liquid and ensure the quality of glass products.
◎ Silica brick is used for masonry of high-temperature parts of blast furnace hot blast furnaces. Under the working conditions of long-term high temperature and high air pressure, it has stable volume and low creep rate, and can be used continuously for 1–2 blast furnace generations. Its excellent thermal conductivity is conducive to rapid heat storage and heat release, improving the temperature of hot air and the thermal efficiency of the blast furnace. It is suitable for the high-temperature bearing parts of hot blast furnaces and acidic blast furnace tops.

Our silica bricks are available in grades BG-94, BG-95, BG-96A, and BG-96B, with SiO₂ content ranging from ≥94% to ≥96%. Higher-grade products such as BG-96A and BG-96B also feature lower Fe₂O₃ levels (≤0.80% and ≤0.70% respectively), ensuring minimal contamination of molten glass or other sensitive materials.
The refractoriness under load (0.2 MPa, 0.6% deformation) for our top-grade silica bricks (BG-96A and BG-96B) reaches ≥1680℃. The load softening temperature ranges from 1640℃ to 1680℃, making them suitable for high-temperature applications such as glass furnaces operating above 1615℃ and coke ovens at 950–1050℃.
Silica bricks are widely applied in three major industrial scenarios: (1) Coke ovens — used in regenerator walls, carbonization chamber bottoms, furnace walls, and furnace tops; (2) Glass furnaces — used in the melting section, roof, breast wall, and regenerator partitions of float glass furnaces; (3) Hot blast furnaces — used for high-temperature masonry in blast furnace hot blast systems. Custom solutions are also available for other acidic high-temperature environments.
Volume stability at high temperatures is critical because any significant expansion or contraction can cause joint gaps, structural cracks, or furnace leakage. Our silica bricks undergo a special firing process that converts the mineral composition primarily to tridymite and cristobalite, resulting in a residual expansion of only 0–0.2% at 1450℃×2h. This ensures tight masonry joints, excellent airtightness, and long-term structural integrity.
Silica bricks are inherently acidic refractory materials, which gives them a significant advantage over clay bricks and ordinary high-alumina bricks when exposed to acid slag or acidic gases. They exhibit far superior resistance to acid corrosion and erosion, making them the preferred choice for applications where acidic working conditions are present, such as certain types of blast furnace tops and chemical industrial furnaces.
