Zircon mullite brick is a high-performance refractory material primarily composed of mullite (Al₆Si₂O₁₃) and zirconium dioxide (ZrO₂). Depending on the grade, ZrO₂ content ranges from ≥12% to ≥20%, while Fe₂O₃ is strictly controlled to ≤0.3% to ensure low contamination and high purity in industrial applications.
Our zircon mullite brick offers a refractoriness under load (0.2 MPa, 0.6% deformation) of up to ≥1700℃ for higher-grade variants, with the standard grade rated at ≥1650℃. The pyrometric cone equivalent reaches SK 31, making it suitable for sustained operation in extreme high-temperature industrial furnaces and kilns.
The addition of ZrO₂ to the mullite matrix significantly enhances resistance to corrosion by molten glass and reduces contamination risk.
